COVID-19 Safety and Precautions at Homer Glen Photography Studio

Studio Safety and Precautions during COVID-19

Hello hello!!

I hope you are all staying healthy and well during this time. While my Homer Glen studio will remained closed until further notice, I just wanted to share my studio safety and precautions during Covid-19 and cleanliness standards moving forward when it’s time to open up again! I am missing ALL of the families I work with and can not WAIT to see your beautiful smiles once everything is safe and back to ‘normal’.

The health and safety of my clients are a TOP priority at Elle Baker Photography. I would like to reassure you that I will take all precautions advised by WHO and CDC, to maintain a sterile environment at my studio so that my littlest clients and their families are protected.

Here are the health and safety measures that are currently in place in the studio as well as my current sick policy.

Studio Safety and Precautions during COVID-19

Cleaning procedures and policies going forward

  • I will be sure to take my temperature as well as everyone in my home before leaving to ensure I am 100% for our session. I ask that all clients coming to the studio also take their temperature to ensure a safe working environment. I will have disposable masks and gloves available at the studio and will be wearing a mask while working with babies 12 months and younger.
  • I am a bit of a germ a phobe already and wash my hands regularly, however I will be sure to wash my hands before, during, and after our session. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be located in multiple places at my studio including the front door, bathroom, desk, and sitting area. I ask that all clients wash their hands right before they leave their house and once again upon arrival at the studio.
  • The studio will be deep cleaned after each session. Every surface will be sanitized and all props including blankets, wraps, toys and clothing will be washed and throughly cleaned in between sessions. Until further notice, NO outside props will be allowed in the studio.
  • When the stay at home is lifted and I am able to return to scheduling, I will only be scheduling ONE session every other day to ensure 48 hours between clients. This will allow time for sanitizing and cleaning the space. Until further notice, immediate family members are only allowed in the studio.
  • There will be a ‘no shoe policy‘ going forward in the studio. Although most of my clients remove their shoes anyways I will be requiring that upon entry, all shoes are to be removed by the doorway.

Sick Policy Update

With a child at home considered high risk along with the safety of your family, my studio has a very strict NO-SICK policy. Clients will be required to disclose and reschedule the session if their child or anyone coming to the studio have had a fever or any other symptoms such a a cough, runny nose, vomiting, etc. in the last twenty-four hours. To reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. There is NO fee to reschedule and you will receive priority booking should you need to change your session date due to illness of any kind.

Missing you all

Over the last month I have missed out on capturing so many moments with you all. Fresh 48 sessions, newborn sessions, maternity sessions, baby sessions, and family sessions go undocumented which makes me terribly sad. Please know that I miss you all and can not wait to get back to work and see your beautiful faces. For all of those mamas out there that have the task of capturing your own Fresh 48 or newborn session, a new blog post is coming soon to help you out.

There has been an outpouring of beautiful notes and messages left in my inboxes. Between the texts, emails, dms I can’t express how thankful I am to have the support from so many of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reaching out. This is by far the longest I have ever gone not holding a newborn or baby or working with a family. I promise, when the time is right, that we will capture beautiful images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Sending LOVE to you all during this time and thinking about you often!

xx

Laurie
