Hello. I'm Laurie, the 'L' behind 'Elle' and it's so lovely to meet you. I am a portrait photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, and family photography. My studio is located near Chicago, Illinois in Homer Glen. Biographies and about me pages have always been difficult for me to write, and according to all of the guides and blogs, I am supposed to write charming and lovely things about myself to make you fall in love with me. So here we go, Ha!

I am an artist, a photographer, and most importantly a mother. These three things truly describe who I am.  I was drawn to the world of photography almost a decade ago and through a lot of hard work and inspiration have made it my career. I am also the owner of Boudoir by Elle and shoot understated and modern boudoir photography.  I am inspired by film and fine art photography with a minimalist style and use neutral tones and textures to create emotive imagery. My commercial studio is located in Homer Glen, Illinois not far from Naperville and Hinsdale and is a comfortable space to create art.  LGBTQ families are welcome. 

My most FAVORITE job title is that of 'mommy'. I have three amazing kids that follow me around daily giving me lots of love and kisses and making me laugh constantly.  They are my inspiration for everything that I do and I thank my lucky stars every day that they were gifted to me. I have more to say when we meet and I would LOVE get to know you!

Ocean air, salty hair is my motto.  Summer months are spent with my family relaxing on the beach, sippin' a moscow mule, and enjoying the ocean breeze.  Dreaming of Greece, Italy, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, Hawaii, the list goes on and on.!

I have a degree in nutrition and dietetics and I try my hardest to live a mindful and healthy lifestyle.  In my spare time you'll find me concocting complicated juicing recipes and running health and fitness accountability groups.

My entire world in three small bodies. My oldest, with her fiery personality and kind heart. My middle child, the bravest and strongest girl I have ever met. And my littlest, the most gentle of souls and my boy who will always be my baby. Read more about my family here.

Family time consists of snuggling on the couch watching movies, going out to eat, fishing, swimming, and taking 'adventure walks'. These three follow me around daily giving me lots of love and kisses, and make me laugh constantly. They are my inspiration for everything that I do and I thank my lucky stars every day that they were gifted to me.

Katie is a professional makeup artist, has been a freelance stylist for the last 15 years. Working in the south suburbs and surrounding area, she has created looks from bridal to prom and everything in between. With Boudoir by Elle, Katie will achieve a look that is natural, fresh, understated and beautiful; an enhancement of features and a celebration of beauty.

CINDY VAZQUEZ

Cindy offers both hair and makeup services for Boudoir By Elle and is a licensed esthetician in the Chicagoland area for the last decade. Her passion is to find inspiration from each client and create individual beauty. Cindy focuses on fresh, clean and natural looks for the modern woman.
