Capturing hope, one photo at a time

I am honored to have been selected as one of Chicago's photographers for The Gold Hope Project. Dedicated to raising awareness in the fight against childhood cancer, The Gold Hope Project is an organization of 489 photographers worldwide who provide free photography services to families who have been or are affected by childhood cancer.

Photographing any pediatric cancer patient at any stage of treatment, remission or survivorship The Gold Hope Project would love to hear from you.  You can apply for a session through the website at www.goldhopeproject.com, and the organization will send you a list of photographers in your area. The following information is quoted in its entirety from The Gold Hope Project website, to help you understand more about the purpose of the project.

The Gold Hope Project is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization. We are a group of photographers aiming to gift families battling a pediatric cancer diagnoses free portrait session for their little warriors.

Many families with ill children are emotionally, physically and finanicially strapped; it is the heart of The Gold Hope Project to take at least one worry off their shoulders and gift them something magical – the smilies of their children frozen in time.

The Gold Hope Project’s goal is to make sure that these already over-burdened families have an everlasting documentation of the joy and whimsy of their children while simultaneously raising awareness of and funds for pediatric oncology research and treatment.

"Our mission at The Gold Hope Project is simple- we want to bring awareness to childhood cancer through photography. While we wish the phrase, “your child has cancer” didn’t exist, the sad fact is approximately 13,500 parents sit across from doctors and hear that each year. This news will cause much emotional turmoil for the families hearing it, and the financial burden that accompanies a cancer diagnosis is nearly as debilitating. The last thing most parents can afford when the medical bills are piling up is a photo session . . . but we know how much the beautiful documentation of their fight will mean to them in the years to come. Unimaginably, for some families, a Gold Hope photo session is the last professional photo session their child will ever have. With each donation the project receives, we can gift one more family the reality of preserving this moment with their little fighter."

Why us?

Through this beautiful journey, I have found my heart skips a beat when I capture raw, authentic, and unposed maternity, newborn, and family photography. Take a look around, and if you feel a connection it would be so lovely to hear from you.

I create the kind of images I want of my family;  something from a mother's perspective and with an artful eye.  I love getting to know my clients and my sessions typically end with a hug and coffee date.  It would be an honor to work with you.  Take a peek at some details to help prepare you for a session.

Our core mission is to offer a beautiful experience that recognizes the connection between your family.  I love natural and organic poses to showcase your love for one another.  Take a peek at my portfolio to see my most recent work.
