Oh my goodness, isn’t she just the cutest baby ever? There is something so special about capturing infant and baby photography. Sitter sessions and baby’s around the age of six or seven months could be my favorite age to photograph. They are just the cutest at this age and I LOVE capturing this special milestone at my Homer Glen photo studio.

This sweet girl traveled with her parents all the way up from Alton, Illinois. They have local friends in Naperville and were in the area for the shoot. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to work with this baby and look forward to seeing her at her twelve month first birthday session!

Why seven months?

I always recommend scheduling sitter sessions closer to baby’s seventh month simply because this allows us to capture them sitting completely unsupported without toppling over. It gives us the opportunity to capture them sitting and looking over their shoulder, laying down and playing with their feet, on their tummy, and sometimes starting to push up into crawling position!

Babies at this age are so incredibly happy and love smiling at the camera. I get their attention by small shaker toys, singing to them, and most of the time just talking to them with a gentle voice. Blankets are always simple patterns and neutral colors as to not distract from the baby. This sweet girl was wearing a Seventh Generation white diaper which compliments the neutral set up!

Baby’s First Year Photography Plan

The first year of your baby’s life is fleeting. Every parent will tell you, it goes by in a blink. Between sleepless nights, teething babies, and toddling babies, you will miss all of those sweet in between moments when they are grown. I am here to capture a beautiful collection of images that are cohesive and gorgeous. Most of these sessions are held at my studio in Homer Glen which allows us to curate a gorgeous gallery of images that seamlessly transition from one milestone to the next. This will allow you to create a gorgeous wall gallery or beautiful album collection of images.
