Maternity and newborn photographer Elle Baker Photography offers beautifully natural pregnancy and newborn portraits.

Beginning this photography journey 8 years ago, I fell in love with documenting my babies and all of their special details that make them so incredible. There is nothing more irreplaceable than having those memories that you cherish documented.  I am a maternity and newborn photographer in the Chicagoland area I welcome you to schedule your belly to baby sessions.  Maternity sessions are such a beautiful way to remember your growing belly and new love and I encourage all of my clients to consider a pregnancy session.  I offer a maternity and newborn collection package and you can view it on my investment page here.

I helped this gorgeous mother to be prepare for her session from beginning to end.  We began with a consultation to discuss location details, color schemes, and wardrobe ideas for both her and her husband.  This allowed our session to run smoothly and transition beautifully from scene to scene.  I photograph every session with an ‘album design’ in mind.  With a continuity of colors, themes, and lighting it allows your album, wall gallery, or heirloom box to flow beautifully.

My newborn sessions are completely unscripted and baby led.  I gently pose baby and wrap them in soft, cotton, and organic blankets and wraps which showcases the newborn baby.  I allow for breaks if baby needs a feeding and the sessions are never rushed.  I encourage parents and siblings to participate during the session and will gently pose their hands around the baby and get them involved to showcase their new family.  Newborn sessions take place at my natural light studio in Homer Glen.  You can read more about my studio by visiting ‘the experience’ page.

I recommend reserving both your newborn and maternity session during your second trimester.  Around week 30-36 is the best time as your belly bump is showing and you are still feeling great.  Newborn sessions should be scheduled while you are still pregnant.  I take a limited number of newborn sessions per month to ensure my schedule is open in case baby comes early or late.
