My Life In Between

Years (like lots of years) ago I started a photo project which I named ‘My life in between’ with my daughters.  I would capture images of them on the daily.  They would never be staged and I would never ask them to look at the camera.  I wanted to remember ‘my life in between’ all of the work and the chaos in my every day life. I ended up completing a full year, documenting their lives.  I look back at those images and smile because they were real moments.  They literally bring me back to that day and I can remember all of the details.

My Lifestyle Stories

I TRY really hard to leave my camera out and photograph my family outside of those ‘scheduled shoots’ but as we all know (especially photographers) our families are the last to be photographed.  But with that said, my favorite images of my kids are those where they are playing in bed, in their rooms with their toys, in the kitchen eating, bath time, getting ready during our hectic morning routines, and even eating a ‘sucka’ on the stairs.

I am excited to share that I will be starting a new personal project and I am calling them ‘ my lifestyle stories’.  I will be gradually add them to my blog here so stay tuned for my lifestyle stories!

A little about these images

This was just a normal day in our house.  My little guy (aka candy-aholic) asked for a ‘sucka’ and I because I am a SUCKA for this boy, I said yes.  I heard him singing a song on the stairs and I immediately grabbed my camera and tried to hide behind the wall to capture this moment.  He finally caught me and so I sat across from him on the other set of stairs and we just talked.  We had a 15 minute conversation about pirates while he sat there and I will always remember this normal day and our little chat.
