Sleep smiles.

One of my all time most favorite moments to capture during a newborn session.  Completely natural, real,  & in the moment kind of smiles.  Smiles that are not provoked by my silly noises and facial expressions.   Just truthful, beautiful smiles.  Showing for just a sweet second, a glimpse of what they will look like when they grow into infancy and out of this sleepy newborn phase.

In the last photo, the beautiful bonnet was hand made by a dear friend, Trae Bohlen with Devoted Knits.  She uses luxury fibers and her bonnets are the perfect fit for a newborns small head.
