Downers Grove Newborn Photographer

I was thrilled when the B family contacted me to share the news of their new little girl.  Baby L was a dream and I had the best time documenting this family in their cute home in Downers Grove.  Their house had beautiful espresso stained wood floors throughout, and I just knew this would be the perfect backdrop for the Moses basket photos.

I hope you enjoy this sneak peek B family!  As always, it was a pleasure seeing you yesterday for your lifestyle session!

Lifestyle Newborn Sessions

Lifestyle newborn sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions to photograph.  In the comfort of your own home, we move from room to room capturing real moments between you and your family members.  I absolutely love incorporating siblings and other family members into the sessions too.  I am currently offering in home lifestyle family sessions to nearby suburbs including but not limited to Frankfort, Naperville, and Hinsdale.  If you are expecting a baby this summer or fall and would like to read more about these types of sessions, fill out the contact form to start the process!

Tips for preparing your home for a lifestyle session

Don’t stress!  I love lived in homes and it’s best to just clean up, declutter a bit, and relax.  I will move cords, alarm clocks, or other distracting details for you if I notice them in the shot.  Find the balance between ‘sterile’ and overly cluttered.  The main spaces I typically shoot in during a session are the master bedroom, the nursery, and the main living area so these are the areas you should focus on when preparing for your session.  If you need any help with this, you are more than welcome to send me some images of your spaces for advice before your session.  Natural light is my main focus and I tend to shoot where the best lighting is available.  Take a peek at a recent lifestyle session here!
